Study of foot bath with traditional Chinese medicine combined with auricular point sticking on promoting rehabilitation after cesarean section

Abstract：Objective To investigate the effects of foot bath with traditional Chinese medicine combined with auricular point sticking on rehabilitation after cesarean section.Methods Totally 120 cases of cesarean section were divided into observation group (n=60)and control group (n=60). The control group was given routine nursing,and the observation group was given foot bath with traditional Chinese medicine combined with auricular point sticking.The postoperative anal exhaust time for the first time,amount of lochia,sleep quality,fundal height,appetite and the degree of satisfaction to nursing of two groups were compared.Results The postoperative anal exhaust time for the first time in the observation group was earlier than that in the control group(t=23.155,P<0.01).The amount of lochia in the observation group was significantly less than that in the control group(t=14.827,P<0.01).The sleep quality,fundal height,appetite in the observation group were better than that in the control group.The satisfaction to nursing in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(Z=-4.092,P<0.01).Conclusion Foot bath with traditional Chinese medicine combined with auricular point sticking can significantly improve the quality of life of delivery woman with cesarean section and reduce the incidence of complications.
