Abstract：Objective To study the best monitoring time of aerocyst pressure in artificial airway for critical cerebral infarction patients with mechanical ventilation.Methods Totally 120 cerebral infarction patients with mechanical ventilation were randomly divided into 4 groups.The pressure of 4 groups were monitored and corrected respectively at every 2 hours (group A),every 4 hours (group B),every 6 hours (group C)and every 8 hours (group D).Results The aerocysts pressure in group A was (24.20±1.92)cmH2 O,group B was (23.90±2.03)cmH2 O,group C was (23.50±1.84)cmH2 O,group D was (20.20±1.56)cmH2 O.The aerocysts pressure in group D was lower than the normal value or the other 3 groups.Conclusion The pressure of the artificial airway aerocyst should be monitored and adj usted every 6 hours to avoid ventilator-associated pneumonia(VAP)caused by low pressure of the aerocyst.
