Abstract:Objective To explore the impact of ultrasound guided puncture technique on PICC related venous thrombosis for cancer patients. Methods Totally 240 he selection of standard required for PICC catheter in 240 patients with malignant tumor with PICC were randomly divided into control group and experimental group, according to the random number table method. The con-trol group were inserted PICC at the elbow vein as normal, the experimental group were inserted PICC at basilic vein or brachial vein under the guidance of ultrasound. PICC related venous thrombosis of 2 groups were compared. Results At 28 days after PICC inserted, the incidence of venous thrombosis in experimental group was lower than that in the control group(χ2=8.949,P<0.01),the severity of thrombosis in experimental group was lighter than that in the control group (Z=-3.105,P<0.01).Conclusion Ultrasound guided puncture technology can effectively reduce the PICC catheter related venous thrombosis of cancer patients.
