Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of relaxation training on azoospermia patients with testicular sperm extraction (TESA)in the perioperative period. Methods From February 2011 to November 2014,86 azoospermia patients with TESA in the perioperative period, were randomly divided into control group (n=43)and intervention group (n=43).The control group was treated with routine care, and the intervention group was given relaxation training at the base of routine care. The pain degree, the incidence rate of testicular hematoma, testicular scleroma and erectile dysfunction, scores of marital quality (OLSON)at 6 months after operation in two groups were compared. Results The pain degree in the intervention group was significantly lower than that in the control group(Z=-3.239,P<0.01).The incidence rates of testicular hematoma, testicular scleroma and erectile dysfunction between 2 groups had no statistically difference. The scores of couples communication and sexual life were higher than that of the control group at six months after surgery, the scores of marital satisfaction between 2 groups had no statistically difference. Conclusion The relaxation training can relieve the pain, reduce the rate of postoperative complications and improve the marital quality for azoospermia patients in the perioperative period of TESA.
