Correlation between the home-based functional exercise compliance and health belief among stroke patients

Abstract：Objective To investigate the relationship between the home-based functional exercise compliance and health belief among stroke patients.Methods Totally 1 1 2 stroke patients were investigated with functional exercise compliance scale and Champion′s health belief model scale (CHBMS).Results The total score of functional exercise compliance scale of the stroke patients was 34.05±6.62,and 84.82% of the patients showed middle or low level of compliance.The score of CHBMS was 106.42±13.57.Pearson correlation analysis showed health belief,perceived benefits,health motivation and self-efficacy were positively related to the functional exercise compliance, and perceived barriers was negatively related to it.Conclusion The home-based functional exercise compliance among stroke patients is low,nurses should improve it by raising their health belief.
