Effects of individualized diet treatment for reducing gastrointestinal symptoms of patients with diabetic gastroparesis

Abstract：Objective To study the effects of individualized diet treatment for reducing gastrointestinal symptoms of patients with diabetic gastroparesis . Methods From June 2011 to March 2014 ,40 patients with diabetic gastroparesis were randomly divided into observation group (n= 20) and control group (n = 20 ) .Two groups were given insulin treatment .The control group was given conventional diet guidance for diabetes . The observation group was given individualized diet prescription and diet management for diabetes .Results The gastrointestinal symptoms in the observation group were lighter than that in the control group(Z= - 2 .183 ,P< 0 .05) .The glycemic control in the observation group was better than that in the control gruop .Conclusion Individualized diet therapy for diabetic gastroparesis can reduce gastrointestinal symptoms and control blood sugar .
