Abstract:Objective To explore a feasible breast care method to reduce mammary swelling and promote early lactation in primiparas after cesarean section .Methods A hundred primiparas were randomly divided into observation group (n=50) and control group (n=50) .The observation group was given electromagnetic wave irradiation treatment , massage and negative pressure adjustable breast pump for breast care .The control group was given compressing ,massage and milking in breasts .The initial time of lactation ,the degree and hardness of breast swelling at 4 days after delivery between 2 groups were evaluated . Results The initial time of lactation in the observation group was earlier than that in control group (Z= -3 è.830 ,P<0 .01) .The degree and hardness of breast swelling at the fourth day after delivery in the observation group were better than that in the control group .Conclusion Electromagnetic wave irradiation treatment ,massage and negative pressure adjustable breast pump for breast care at the early stage after cesarean section can promote lactation ,reduce maternal breast swelling .
