Abstract:Objective To investigate the contributing factors and nursing strategies for malnutrition in nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients undergoing concurrent chemoradiotherapy. Methods A total of 80 nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients receiving concurrent chemoradiotherapy were enrolled from January 2023 to January 2024.Their nutritional status was assessed using the Mini Nutritional Assessment Scale-Short Form(MNA-SF)to determine malnutrition prevalence.Demographic data including age and gender were collected to identify risk factors. Results Malnutrition was observed in 19(23.75%)of the 80 patients. Conclusion Multiple high-risk factors contribute to malnutrition during concurrent chemoradiotherapy.Clinical practice should prioritize monitoring these high-risk groups and implement targeted nursing strategies to ensure patients'physical and mental well-being.
