Abstract:Objective To achieve the goal of comprehensive talent cultivation in higher education for traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)in the new era,this study actively explores the application of the innovative"5-5-5"curriculum model—Five Senses,Five Organs,and Five Educations—under the context of"integration of five types of education"in the training of talents in TCM otolaryngology.Methods Based on the characteristics of TCM otolaryngology courses,a preliminary exploration,investigation,and integration of the"5-5-5"innovative curriculum model was conducted within the professional course teaching under the context of"integration of five types of education."This approach combines classroom teaching with traditional culture,classroom education with professional literacy,and integrates internet platforms.It seeks to appropriately integrate students'professional knowledge and skill development into TCM otolaryngology teaching from the perspectives of morality,intelligence,physical education,aesthetic education,and labor education.Conclusion The"integration of five types of education"aligns with the current standards for talent cultivation in higher education.Guided by morality,it is suggested to establish a triad educational system encompassing ideological-political courses,classroom teaching,and clinical practice.Guided by intelligence,teaching innovation reform should be optimized through online and offline teaching modes and formative evaluation,achieving a comprehensive upgrade of the curriculum system.Guided by physical education,TCM theory should be combined with exercise to develop new training approaches for the senses and organs.Guided by aesthetics,aesthetic education within TCM otolaryngology teaching should be strengthened to form a diversified aesthetic education system.Guided by labor,the distinctive features of TCM otolaryngology should be utilized to build a labor education ecosystem,thereby realizing the integration of the five educations and cultivating qualified TCM talents who meet the requirements of the era.
