Clinical application of electronic staining endoscopy in vocal cord leukoplakia

Abstract：Objective To analyze the clinical application effect of electronic staining endoscopy in vocal cord leukoplakia.Methods 65 patients with vocal cord leukoplakia who visited our hospital from January 2017 to October 2023 were selected for routine white light and narrow band imaging examinations,and the differences in examination results were analyzed.Results Compared with ordinary white light examination,the application of narrow band imaging mode had a higher overall detection rate for vocal cord leukoplakia(P<0.05).The sensitivity,specificity,and accuracy of narrow band imaging mode in diagnosing malignant lesions of vocal cord leukoplakia were higher than those of ordinary white light mode(97.5%vs 85.0%,96.0%vs 72.0%,96.9%vs 80.0%,χ2=3.914,5.357,9.119,P=0.048,0.021,0.003,respectively).Conclusion For vocal cord leukoplakia,electronic staining endoscopy is used for examination.Compared with ordinary white light mode,narrow band imaging mode has a higher overall detection rate of the lesion,and demonstrates significant diagnostic value for differential diagnosis of malignant vocal cord leukoplakia.
