Abstract:Objective To explore and analyze the impact of standardized continuous care on compliance behavior and self-efficacy of patients with chronic sinusitis after endoscopic sinus surgery. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on 100 patients with chronic sinusitis who underwent endoscopic sinus surgery and were treated in the hospital from August 2021 to August 2023.According to the differences in nursing care methods, they were divided into two groups.Among them,50 patients who received routine nursing care were included in the control group, and 50 patients who received routine nursing care additionally with standardized continuous care were included in the observation group. The compliance behavior,self-efficacy(GSES),and quality of life(SF-36)were compared before and after nursing care between two groups. Results The compliance with medical advice was significantly higher in the observation group than in the control group(94.0%vs 80.0%,χ2=4.332,P=0.037).After 3 months of follow-up,the scores of each dimension of the GSES were significantly higher in the observation group than in the control group(all P<0.05).Similarly,the SF-36 score of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group after 3 months of follow-up[(85.17±6.64)vs(79.52±7.45),t=4.003,P<0.001].Conclusion In patients with chronic rhinosinusitis after endoscopic sinus surgery, the implementation of standardized continuous care can enhance their compliance with medical advice, thereby improving self-efficacy and quality of life.
