Abstract:Objective To evaluate the effect of nursing intervention and to analyze related indicators in patients with bronchial asthma and comorbid allergic rhinitis. Methods A total of 66 patients with bronchial asthma and allergic rhinitis admitted to the Second People's Hospital of Shandong Province from February 2021 to February 2023 were randomly allocated into two groups using a random number table method:the control group(n=33)received routine care, and the observation group(n=33)received comprehensive nursing intervention. The comparison indicators were symptom score,compliance,self-care ability, and satisfaction. Results Compared with the control group, the observation group demonstrated significantly lower post-intervention symptom scores for nasal itching[(0.77±0.11)vs(1.21±0.07)],runny nose[(0.81±0.14)vs(1.05±0.11)],and nasal congestion[(0.83±0.06)vs(1.03±0.05)](all P<0.05).The post-intervention compliance score and self-care ability score in the observation group were both significantly higher than those in the control group(both P<0.05).The overall satisfaction rate was significantly higher in the observation group(100%,33/33)than in the control group(84.9%,28/33)(χ2=5.410,P=0.020).Conclusion Comprehensive nursing intervention is effective for patients with bronchial asthma and allergic rhinitis. It can enhance patient compliance, alleviate symptoms, improve self-care ability and satisfaction, and is thus worthy of clinical application.
