Abstract:Clinical teaching in otorhinolaryngology-head and neck surgery has high requirements for students'theoretical knowledge, practical ability and clinical thinking. However, the traditional teaching model has such problems as fragmented content, insufficient practical opportunities, and neglect of students'reflection and individual needs. This study took Kolb's experiential learning model as the theoretical framework and cochlear implantation as the teaching case to optimize the design for the teaching difficulties in otorhinolaryngology-head and neck surgery. It effectively made up for the shortcomings of traditional teaching and improved students'clinical thinking, practical skills and adaptability. The study also pointed out the limitations of the model in terms of situational adaptability, implementation cost and evaluation tools. It puts forward future development directions, such as integrating multiple teaching theories, promoting informatization transformation, and improving the evaluation system,so as to provide reference for the teaching reform in otorhinolaryngology-head and neck surgery.
