Application of nasal endoscopic imaging system combined with flipped classroom in rhinology internship

Abstract：Objective To explore the application of nasal endoscopic imaging system combined with flipped classroom in rhinology internships.Methods 60 students on internship in Department of Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery were randomly divided into the observation group(adopting nasal endoscopic imaging system combined with flipped classroom teaching,n=30)and the control group(adopting traditional teaching methods,n=30).The teaching effects of the two groups were compared through knowledge exam scores and questionnaire surveys(including teaching environment,teaching satisfaction,and learning interest).Results The knowledge exam score of the observation group(90.2±6.6)was higher than that of the control group(79.3±12.6)(t=4.202,P<0.001),with more students(20,66.7%)achieving A level(excellent)exam scores in the observation group than in the control group(11,36.6%;χ2=5.406,P<0.01).The questionnaire survey results showed that teaching environment,teaching satisfaction,and learning interest of the observation group were better than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of nasal endoscopic imaging system and flipped classroom in rhinology internship can cultivate students'self-learning and thinking abilities,enhance their interest in rhinology learning,promote knowledge mastery and understanding,and achieve good teaching results.
