Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of prospective intervention during preoperative visits on emergence agitation and postoperative recovery in patients undergoing chronic sinusitis surgery under general anesthesia. Methods Patients with chronic sinusitis who underwent surgery in Jinan Third People's Hospital were selected to participate in the study, with a sample size of 60 cases from January 2022 to 20 July 2024.After random grouping, the control group(n=30)received routine preoperative visits, while the observation group(n=30)received preoperative visits and prospective interventions, and the effects of the two groups on emergence agitation and postoperative recovery were compared. Results During the postoperative T2 to T5 stages, the heart rate and blood pressure of the observation group were better than those of the control group(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the observation group had a lower overall incidence of emergence agitation(46.67%vs 66.67%,P<0.05)during the recovery period, and had lower scores in all dimensions of the SNOT-20(Nasal and Sinus Outcome Test-20)(P<0.05).Conclusion It is important to strengthen prospective interventions and provide necessary psychological and cognitive guidance during anesthesia preoperative visits for patients undergoing chronic sinusitis surgery. This can alleviate patient anxiety and reduce the incidence of restlessness during the recovery period. In practice, research and application can be strengthened.
