Abstract:Objective To evaluate the intervention effect and clinical significance of tongue pressure resistance feedback training on post-stroke dysphagia patients. Methods A total of 82 patients with dysphagia after stroke were included using purposive sampling, all of whom received treatment at our hospital from January 2022 to December 2023.The included cases were grouped using the odd-even number table method to form two equally sized groups(41 cases each). The control group received swallowing neuromuscular electrical stimulation plus low-intensity tongue sensory training, while training in the observation group was combined with tongue pressure resistance feedback training. The tongue muscle strength and swallowing function were compared between the two groups. Results After intervention, the observation group showed higher peak tongue pressure[(55.04±5.97)kPa vs(49.67±5.38)kPa,t=4.279,P<0.01],higher average tongue pressure[(49.06±5.12)kPa vs(40.74±4.85)kPa,t=7.554,P<0.01],longer duration of tongue pressure[(17.05±3.02)s vs(14.36±2.74)s,t=4.224,P<0.01],and higher maximum amplitude of suprahyoid muscles[(704.16±25.82)μV vs(660.41±22.78)μV,t=8.136,P<0.01].After intervention, the score of modified Mann swallowing ability assessment scale(MMASA)[(80.11±5.47)vs(72.49±4.63),t=6.808,P<0.01]and the degree of swallowing disorders(VGF score)[(7.29±0.41)vs(6.52±0.36),t=9.036,P<0.01]in the observation group were both higher(P<0.01).Conclusion Through tongue pressure resistance feedback training, the recruitment of tongue muscle motor units can be regulated, which can have a positive impact on the improvement of tongue muscle strength and swallowing function in patients with post-stroke swallowing disorders. It is worth recommending.
