Abstract:Objective To investigate the expression of serum interleukin-6(IL-6),interferon-γ and epidermal growth factor in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Methods 50 patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma admitted to our hospital from November 2021 to November 2022 were selected as the study subjects, and 50 healthy subjects were selected as the study subjects.Serum interleukin-6(IL-6),interferon-γ and epidermal growth factor were detected. The changes of various indexes were compared between the two groups. All patients received radiotherapy, and the changes of serum interleukin-6(IL-6),interferon-γ and epidermal growth factor before and after treatment were analyzed. Results The serum levels of IL-6,interferon-γ and epidermal growth factor receptor-B in nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients were higher than those in healthy group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The levels of IL-6,interferon-γ and epidermal growth factor receptor-B in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma after radiotherapy were lower than those before radiotherapy, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Of the 50 patients,12 had complete response,19 had partial response,8 had stable response, and 11 had no response. The serum levels of IL-6,interferon-γ and epidermal growth factor receptor-B in four groups were compared, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Serum IL-6,interferon-γ and epidermal growth factor are changed in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma, which can be used to diagnose the disease and evaluate the prognosis.
