Abstract:Objective To evaluate and analyze the residual status and recurrence probability of thyroid cancer patients receiving intensity modulated radiation therapy after surgery.Method A total of 70 patients with thyroid cancer who underwent thyroid cancer surgery in our hospital were selected, and all patients received thyroid cancer surgery treatment plans. The time distribution boundary was from January 2022 to January 2023,and scientific grouping was conducted based on the principle of equal number of people.35 patients were included in the reference group and received conventional radiotherapy treatment plans. The other 35 patients were included in the experimental group and received intensity modulated radiotherapy treatment plans. The residual effects of the two groups after surgery were evaluated Conduct statistical analysis on the probability of recurrence and the occurrence of adverse reactions.Result(1)Compared to the reference group of 60.00%(21/35),the experimental group had a significantly better postoperative residual effect of 91.43%(32/35),with a difference of P<0.05;(2)Compared to the reference group, the experimental group had a lower postoperative recurrence rate, with a difference of P<0.05;(3)Compared to the reference group, the probability of adverse reactions in the experimental group reached, with a difference of P<0.05.Conclusion Timely receiving intensity modulated radiation therapy for patients undergoing surgical treatment of thyroid cancer can reduce postoperative residue, reduce the probability of recurrence, and effectively ensure the treatment effect.
