Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect and value of low temperature plasma ablation in the treatment of adenoid hypertrophy of tonsil in children. Methods A total of 60 children with tonsil adenoid hypertrophy who received treatment in our hospital from January 2018 to July 2022 were selected as observation objects.According to different treatment methods, they were divided into control group(30 cases refused to receive surgical treatment, chose conservative drug treatment)and observation group(30 cases underwent low-temperature plasma ablation). The control group was treated with conservative drug therapy.Observation group was treated with low temperature plasma ablation; The effect of treatment was compared. The improvement time of disease symptoms in the two groups was recorded respectively, and the sleep quality of the two groups was compared after treatment. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(p<0.05),and the treatment of nasal obstruction, mucosal edema and mucosal epithelization in the observation group was significantly shorter than that of the control group(p<0.05).In addition, the sleep quality score of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group after treatment(p<0.05).Conclusion Low temperature plasma ablation is the first choice for clinical treatment of children with tonsil adenoid hypertrophy.Compared with drug conservative treatment, the effect is more ideal and can improve the symptoms of children more quickly. It is worthy of application and promotion.
