Analysis of the effect of nasal hormonal drugs in the treatment of acute secretory otitis media in children

Abstract：Objective To analyze the application effect of nasal hormonal drugs in the clinical treatment of acute secretory otitis media in children.Methods A total of 76 children with acute secretory otitis media were enrolled in the hospital,and clinical treatment was carried out during the study period from May 2020～November 2022,and the random number table method was selected to divide the groups into reference group and observation group,with 38 cases in each group.The reference group was treated with oral drug therapy,and the observation group was treated with oral drug+nasal hormone therapy.When otitis media symptoms were converted during treatment,the treatment response rate and the difference in air conduction mean hearing threshold data were compared.Results(1)The time of conversion of ear stuffiness,tinnitus,tympanic effusion and hearing impairment during the treatment period in the observation group was shortened compared with the reference group,and the difference was significant,P<0.05.(2)The clinical treatment response rate of the observation group was higher than that of the reference group,and the recurrence rate within 6 months after treatment was lower than that of the reference group,and the difference was significant,P<0.05.(3)After 7 days of treatment in the observation group,the average hearing threshold of air conduction at 4.0kHz,2.0kHZ,1.0kHz and 0.5kHz frequencies was lower than that of the reference group,and the difference was significant,P<0.05.Conclusion In the clinical treatment of acute secretory otitis media in children,combined with nasal hormonal drug intervention,it can quickly correct the clinical symptoms of children,promote the recovery of hearing threshold,and control the long-term recurrence risk of disease while optimizing the clinical treatment effect.
