Abstract:Objective This study focuses on the nursing effects of gastric fluid dripping into the throat during gastrostomy tube replacement in patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease. Methods A retrospective study was conducted on 100 patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease admitted to our hospital from August 2022 to February 2024.The patients were divided into a control group(n=50,receiving routine nursing)and an experimental group(n=50,receiving nursing intervention on the basis of the control group). The nursing satisfaction,RDQ score, and QOL score were the main outcomes measured in both groups. Results The overall nursing satisfaction in the experimental group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in RDQ score and QOL score between the two groups before nursing(P>0.05).However,after nursing, the RDQ score in the experimental group was significantly lower and the QOL score was significantly higher than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion Special nursing intervention during gastrostomy tube replacement can effectively reduce the incidence of gastric fluid dripping into the throat, reduce the occurrence of gastroesophageal reflux disease, and decrease the amount of gastric fluid, making it less likely to drip into the throat. This intervention is worthy of clinical reference and promotion.
