Effect of high quality nursing service on preventing acute radiation reaction of mucosa in patients with head and neck cancer undergoing radiotherapy

Abstract:Objective To explore the effect and value of high-quality nursing in radiotherapy of head and neck cancer.Methods A total of 66 patients with head and neck cancer treated with radiotherapy from January to January 2022 in our hospital were 2021,in the Observation Group,33 patients received high quality nursing service,and the indexes of the two groups were compared,such as acute radiation reaction of mucosa,quality of life and satisfaction.Results 1 acute radiation reaction of mucosa:the incidence and duration of acute radiation reaction of mucosa in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(p<0.05)2 quality of life:Based on the indexes of physiology,emotion and social status,the values recorded in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(p<0.05);4 mental state:the mental state of the Observation Group was better than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(p<0.05).Conclusion High-quality nursing for patients with head and neck cancer after radiotherapy can reduce or avoid the occurrence of acute radiation reaction of mucosa,shorten the duration of symptoms,relieve psychological stress and optimize the prognosis of patients,it is worth learning from.
