Abstract:Objective To investigate and analyze the factors associated with airway hyper-responsiveness(AHR)in patients with chronic sinusitis(CRS),in order to provide reference for preventing the occurrence of AHR.Methods From January 2023 to March 2024,100 patients with chronic sinusitis who were treated in hospitals were selected as the research subjects. The occurrence of airway hyper-responsiveness was determined, and the patient's lung function, general information, and peripheral blood eosinophil count were investigated. The influencing factors of airway hyper-responsiveness were analyzed. Results Among the 100 patients,40 were diagnosed as positive for airway hyper-responsiveness,accounting for 40.00%.The first second forced expiratory volume, forced vital capacity, and peak expiratory flow rate of the positive group were significantly lower than those of the negative group(P<0.05).The peripheral blood eosinophil count in the positive group was significantly higher than that in the negative group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in gender, age, and disease duration between the two groups(P>0.05).There were significant differences in smoking, nasal polyps, and allergic rhinitis between the positive group and the negative group(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that peripheral blood eosinophil count, smoking, nasal polyps, and allergic rhinitis were important factors leading to positive airway hyper-responsiveness(P<0.05).Conclusion It is common for patients with chronic sinusitis to have airway hyper-responsiveness,which can lead to a decrease in lung function.Peripheral blood eosinophil count, smoking, nasal polyps and allergic rhinitis are important factors that lead to positive airway hyper-responsiveness.Targeted interventions should be actively implemented.
