Abstract:Objective To discuss the CT findings of fungal rhinosinusitis complicated with bacterial infection.Method A retrospective analysis was carried out,and 80 patients with fungal rhinosinusitis were selected to receive diagnosis and treatment mainly from April 2021 to April 2023.They were divided into groups with or without bacterial infection, that is,40 patients with fungal rhinosinusitis without bacterial infection were included in the control group.Forty patients with fungal rhinosinusitis combined with bacterial infection were included in the study group. All the enrolled patients received CT examination, and then observed the lesion site, lesion characteristics, and indicators of the degree of damage to the sinus wall in the two groups. Results There was no statistical significance in the incidence rates of maxillary sinus, sphenoid sinus, ethmoid sinus and multi-sinus lesions between the two groups(P>0.05).And all concentrated in maxillary sinus. The incidence of soft tissue shadow and calcification lesion in the study group was higher than that in the control group, but there was no statistical significance(P>0.05).The characteristic probability of liquid level lesion in the study group was 40%,which was significantly higher than that in the control group(0%),with statistical significance(P<0.05).The incidence of no damage to the sinus wall in the study group was lower than that in the control group, but there was no statistical significance(P>0.05).The rate of severe extensive damage of the sinus wall in the study group(32.5%)was significantly higher than that in the control group(7.5%),with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion The lesions of fungal nasosinusitis complicated with bacterial infection were mainly located in the maxillary sinuses under CT examination, with thickening of the sinus wall, soft tissue shadow in the sinus and calcification foci.In particular, the severity of severe and extensive damage of the liquid level and the sinus wall was significantly worse than that of the patients without bacterial infection.
