Abstract:Objective To explore the value of contrast-enhanced MRI in evaluating the efficacy of radiotherapy for nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC).Methods 80 patients with nasopharyngeal carcinomal from April 2021 to April 2023 were selected.Conventional MRI scan and enhanced MRI scan were performed before and after radiotherapy, and the lesion diameter change and invasion to surrounding tissues before and after treatment were compared. Results Compared with before treatment, the lesion diameter of patients after treatment was significantly reduced, the detection rate of lymphadenopathy, vague lesion boundary, invasion of oral cavity, invasion of medial pterygoid muscle and invasion of lateral pterygoid muscle was significantly reduced, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Contrast-enhanced MRI can be used to evaluate the curative effect of radiotherapy for nasopharyngeal carcinoma, which can reflect the diameter and invasion of the lesion.
