Clinical analysis of montelukast sodium and mometasone furoate aqueous nasal spray in adenoidal hypertrophy children

Abstract：Objective To analyze the clinical effects of montelukast sodium and mometasone furoate aqueous nasal spray in adenoidal hypertrophy children.Methods 40 adenoidal hypertrophy children treated from January 2021 to January 2022 in our hospital were investigated.According to different therapies,children were assigned to control group(n=20,mometasone furoate aqueous nasal spray)and study group(n=20,mometasone furoate aqueous nasal spray and montelukast sodium tablets).The clinical symptom scores,A/N(adenoid to nasopharyngeal thickness),OSA-18(disease-specific quality of life for children with obstructive sleep apnea 18 items survey)scores were compared.Results Before treatment,the clinical symptom scores,A/N and OSA-18 scores between groups were not significantly different(P＞0.05);after 3m of treatment,the clinical symptom scores,A/N and OSA-18 scores in the study group were lower than control group,with statistically significant difference(P＜0.05).Conclusion The montelukast sodium and mometasone furoate aqueous nasal spray can effectively reduce the clinical symptoms and adenoid size,improve the quality of life for adenoidal hypertrophy children.
