The effect of bipolar electrocoagulation hemostasis therapy under nasal endoscopy on nasal ventilation,bleeding volume,and clinical efficacy in patients with refractory epistaxis

Abstract：Objective To explore and analyze the application effect of bipolar electrocoagulation hemostasis therapy under nasal endoscopy on patients with refractory epistaxis.Method 68 patients with stubborn epistaxis admitted to our hospital from April 2021 to January 2023 were randomly selected as research subjects.They were randomly divided into a control group(34 cases,traditional nasal packing treatment)and a study group(34 cases,bipolar electrocoagulation hemostasis treatment under nasal endoscopy)using the coin toss method.The clinical efficacy,nasal ventilation,total nasal bleeding,complications,and recurrence of the two groups were compared.Result The clinical efficacy,nasal ventilation,total nasal bleeding,complications,and recurrence in the study group were better than those in the control group,P＜0.05.Conclusion Endoscopic bipolar electrocoagulation hemostasis can effectively reduce the amount of nasal bleeding in patients with refractory epistaxis,improve clinical treatment effectiveness,promote the recovery of nasal ventilation function,and reduce the incidence of complications and bleeding recurrence.
