Abstract:Objective To explore the selection and curative effect of endoscopic sinus surgery for congenital nasolacrimal duct obstruction(CNLDO).Methods 40 children(60 eyes)with CNLDO admitted to our hospital were divided into two groups according to different endoscopic surgery methods, including plastic surgery group(n=24 eyes)and anastomosis group(n=36 eyes),and were treated with Hasner valvuloplasty and dacryocystorhinostomy(En-DCR)respectively,and the effects were compared. Results There was no significant difference between the two groups in terms of surgical selection factors(P>0.05),but there were significant differences in CT bony structure, obstruction site and endoscopic evaluation results(P<0.05).Compared with the prognosis of the two groups, the complete remission rate in the plastic surgery group was slightly higher, but there was no statistical difference(P>0.05).Conclusion Hasner valvuloplasty or En-DCR under nasal endoscope can achieve satisfactory results in children with CNLDO.However,CT bony structure, obstruction site and evaluation results of nasal endoscope should be fully considered in the selection of surgical plan, and only a reasonable and scientific selection of surgical plan can guarantee the curative effect.
