Analysis of the effect of otolaryngology endoscope applied in outpatient treatment of otolaryngology diseases

Abstract：Objective To analyze the effect of otolaryngology endoscope in outpatient treatment of otolaryngology diseases,and to provide reference for disease diagnosis and treatment.Method A total of 153 patients with otolaryngological diseases admitted to our hospital from August 2020 to August 2021(with complete diagnosis and treatment data and voluntary cooperation in the study)were selected as subjects of study,including 61 patients with ear diseases,49 patients with nasal diseases,and 43 patients with laryngeal diseases.All patients received endoscopy in otolaryngological department after frontoscopy,and the results of the two examination methods were analyzed.Results(1)Analysis of the results of nasal disease examination showed that the consistency rate of nasal endoscopic examination was 91.84%,there were 4 cases of misdiagnosed patients,the misdiagnosis rate was 8.16%,13 cases were not confirmed to be examined,4 cases of small perforation of tympanic membrane were found in late nasal endoscopic examination,5 cases of secretory otitis media were not detected,and 4 cases of external auditory canal cholesteroma were misdiagnosed,all of which could not be realized by frontoscopy.(2)Analysis of the results of ear disease examination showed that the coincidence rate of ear endoscopy was 90.16%,there were 6 cases of misdiagnosed patients,the misdiagnosis rate was 9.84%,21 cases were not confirmed to be examined,14 cases of early nasal polyps and 7 cases of early nasal pharyngeal cancer were found in late ear endoscopy,which could not be realized by frontoscopy.(3)Analysis of the results of the examination of laryngeal diseases showed that the coincidence rate of electronic laryngoscopy was 93.02%,3 cases were misdiagnosed,the misdiagnosis rate was 6.98%,and 15 cases were undiagnosed to be examined.In the late electronic laryngoscopy,8 cases of foreign body of fishbone in the throat and 7 cases of early glottic cancer were found,which could not be realized by the frontoscopy.Conclusion The application of otolaryngology endoscope in outpatient treatment of otolaryngology diseases is of great value,which can significantly improve the accuracy of examination.Misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis are more common,which can provide reliable reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment of diseases,and can be widely promoted in the department.
