The diagnostic value of low-dose CT scanning in children with sinusitis

Abstract：Objective To explore the diagnostic value of low dose CT scanning in children with sinusitis.Methods The study period was from January 2022 to December 2022.The subjects were 92 children with sinusitis admitted to our hospital during this period.The enrolled children were divided into 2 groups with 46 cases in each group by random number table method.In the process of detection,the control group was given conventional dose and the observation group was given low dose.The diagnostic accuracy and CT influence characteristics of the two groups were compared.Results The accuracy of detection was 95.65%in the observation group and 84.78%in the control group,which was slightly higher than that in the control group,but the difference was small(P>0.05).There was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05),and there was no statistical significance.After scanning,the dose length product(DLP)and radiation dose weighting(CTD1)in observation group were lower than those in control group(P<0.05).Conclusion In the diagnosis of sinusitis in children,low-dose CT scan has ideal effect and high value.
