Clinical study on the treatment of chronic sinusitis of lung spleen deficiency type with Shenling Baizhu powder combined with acupoint application

Abstract：Objective To explore the effect of Shenling Baizhu Powder combined with acupoint application on chronic sinusitis(CS)with lung Qi deficiency.Methods A total of 80 patients with lung Qi deficiency type CS admitted to our hospital from January 2019 to December 2022 were divided into the reference group(n=40,conventional treatment)and the traditional Chinese medicine group(n=40,Shenling Baizhu powder combined with acupoint application)by random number table method.The efficacy,nasal function,inflammatory factors and adverse reactions were observed.Results The curative effect was 75%in the reference group and 92.5%in the TCM group,which was higher than that in the reference group(P<0.05).Before treatment,there were no differences in nasal function and inflammatory factors(P>0.05),but after treatment,the data in the TCM group were generally improved(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions was 15%in the reference group and 2.5%in the TCM group,indicating that the TCM group was lower than the reference group(P<0.05).Conclusion Shenling Baizhu Powder combined with acupoint application can improve the efficacy of CS patients with lung Qi deficiency,improve nasal function,reduce inflammatory factors and adverse reactions,and improve safety.
