Diagnostic analysis of Hashimoto thyroiditis with thyroid nodules by high frequency ultrasound

Abstract：Objective To explore the application value of high-frequency ultrasound in the diagnosis of Hashimoto thyroiditis combined with thyroid nodules.Methods The clinical data of 76 patients receiving Hashimoto thyroiditis combined with thyroid nodules from January 2021 to December 2022 were also reviewed here.All the enrolled patients received high frequency ultrasound examination before treatment,and the high frequency ultrasound examination results were statistically analyzed,and the diagnostic efficacy of high frequency ultrasound was evaluated with the pathological diagnostic results as the"gold standard".Results The pathological diagnosis results showed that 94 nodules were found in 76 patients,of which 64 were benign and 30 were malignant;65 benign nodules and 29 malignant nodules were detected by high frequency ultrasound.The positive predictive value,negative predictive value,sensitivity,specificity,and accuracy of benign nodules of Hashimoto thyroiditis combined with thyroid nodules were 96.92%,96.55%,98.44%,96.81%respectively,and the differences in sensitivity,specificity and accuracy and pathological diagnosis were small(P>0.05).Blood flow grade(1.85±0.44),resistance index(0.52±0.18),lower than malignant nodules(2.69±0.61),(0.84±0.29)(P<0.05).In benign nodules,78.13%clear boundary,81.25%regular morphology,75.00%uniform enhancement,93.75%no minimal calcification,90.63%poor blood flow signal,significantly different from malignant nodules(P<0.05).Conclusion High diagnosis of Hashimoto thyroiditis with thyroid nodules.The ultrasound imaging characteristics can effectively grasp the patient's nodule condition and provide a reliable ultrasound examination basis for its treatment.
