Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical value of nasal nitric oxide(nNO)in patients with moderate-severe allergic rhinitis(AR).Method From January 2018 to November 2018,152 patients with moderate-severe AR and 108 patients with non-allergic rhinitis(NAR)were enrolled in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery of Gansu Provincial People's Hospital, and 125 healthy subjects without nasal discomfort symptoms were selected as control group.Result The concentration of nNO in the AR group was significantly higher than that in the NAR group and control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the concentration of nNO between seasonal AR and perennial AR(P>0.05);The concentration of nNO in intermittent AR was higher than that in persistent AR,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);After treatment, the concentration of nNO in the case group significantly decreased, and the difference in nNO concentration in the AR group at different treatment points was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The concentration of nNO significantly increases in AR,and there are certain differences in the concentration of nNO among different types of AR patients; The significant decrease in nNO concentration before and after nasal hormone treatment indicates that the changes in nNO concentration after AR treatment are very sensitive, which can to some extent determine the efficacy of the drug.As a clinical objective diagnostic indicator of AR,nNO has certain value and significance. It has the advantages of simplicity, speed, objectivity, and non-invasive,providing patients with a new and comfortable diagnostic and treatment method.
