Use of prophylactic antibiotics in otorhinolaryngology and suggestions on rational drug use

Abstract:Objective To make a statistical analysis on the use of antibiotics in the Department of otolaryngology in our hospital,and to provide useful suggestions for clinical rational drug use.Methods 88 patients with otorhinolaryngology surgery in our hospital from January 2019 to January 2022 were selected as the observation objects of this study.The use of prophylactic antibiotics in patients was analyzed retrospectively.The main contents include:the classification of antibiotics,the use time limit of antibiotics,and the rationality of the use of antibiotics.Results In the classification of the use of antibiotics,penicillin accounted for 59.09%,cefoperazone sodium,sulbactam sodium accounted for 25.00%,ceftriaxone and other types of antibiotics accounted for 4.55%,cefuroxime and ceftazidime accounted for 3.41%;The rationality of cefuroxime was 100%,penicillin was 96.15%,cefoperazone sodium and sulbactam sodium were 90.91%,ceftriaxone and ceftazidime were 75.00%,and other antibiotics were 50.00%.Conclusion Through the analysis of rational drug use,it can effectively reduce the occurrence of irrational drug use and adverse reactions,and play an important role in reducing nosocomial infection.
