Clinical analysis of endoscopic surgery for inverted papilloma of nasal cavity and paranasal sinus

Abstract:Objective To study the clinical effect of endoscopic surgery on inverted papilloma of nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses.Methods Patients diagnosed with inverted papilloma of nasal cavity were selected from the Department of Otorhinolaryngology head and Neck Surgery of our hospital from April 2018 to December 2020.40 patients in the control group were removed with traditional surgical instruments,and 35 patients in the research group were removed with electric cutter.The surgical situation,recurrence rate,pain score and postoperative complications of the two groups were observed.Results The score of the study group was lower than that of the control group at 3 and 7 days after operation.The operation time of the study group was shorter than that of the control group,the amount of intraoperative bleeding was less than that of the control group,and the recurrence rate was 5.71%lower than that of the control group by 30.00%.The total incidence of postoperative complications in the study group was 11.43%lower than that of the control group by 27.50%,P<0.05.Conclusion The treatment of inverted papilloma of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses with electric cutter under nasal endoscope is effective.The operation time is short,the blood loss is low,the pain degree is lighter,the complications are improved significantly,and the overall recurrence rate is low.It is worthy of application.
