The curative effect of vestibular rehabilitation gymnastics in patients with chronic peripheral vestibular dysfunction

Abstract：ObjectiveTo evaluate the role of vestibu-lar rehabilitation gymnastics on patients with chronic peripher-al vestibular dysfunction.Methods60 patients with chron-ic dizziness and balance disorder are divided into two groups, i.e. study group(30 cases)and control group(30 cases). All patients were confirmed peripheral vestibular dysfunction by vestibular function examination. The control group were given microcirculation improving drugs and nerve nutrition agent, the study group in addition to application of the above drug treatment, vestibular rehabilitation gymnastics were exercised every day. The patient’s clinical symptoms and balance function were evaluated after 1 month.ResultsThe improvement of clinical symptoms and balance function in the study group were superior to those in the control group.Con-clusionThe vestibular rehabilitation gymnastics therapy can significantly improve prognosis of the patients with chronic peripheral vestibular dysfunction.
