Abstract:Objective To compare the safety of do-mestic and imported fluorescein sodium used in fundus fluores-cence angiography(FFA). Methods Clinical features of 1009 cases with fundus fluorescence angiography in department of Ophthalmology in our hospital since July 2014 to November 2015 were reviewed and analyzed. Based on domestic or im-ported fluorescein sodium injection in FFA,the patients were divided into two groups, group A(798 cases)and group B (211 cases). The domestic fluorescein sodium injection (20%3ml/team)was used in group A,and the imported flu-orescein sodium injection(10% 5ml/team,USA)was used in group B. The adverse reactions of patients were carefully observed in the process of FFA checking, and all adverse reac-tions had been treated in time and the symptoms were recorded in detail. Results 101 out of 1009 cases showed adverse reactions. Group A and group B showed no signs of severe adverse reactions;in group A,70 out of 74 cases were mild adverse reaction and 4 cases were moderate adverse reactions; In group B,26 out of 27 cases were mild adverse reaction and 1 case was moderate adverse reactions. The incidence rate of adverse reaction was compared between group A and group B, and there had no statistical significant difference(P=0.132, Z=-1.507). Conclusion FFA is a safe examination meth-od. Domestic and imported fluorescein sodium has no signif-icant difference. There was no statistical significance in the incidence of adverse reactions in FFA.
