Effect of systematic nursing intervention on patients with sinusitis and nasal polyps treated under nasal endoscope

Abstract：Objective To study the effect of systematic nursing intervention on patients with sinusitis and nasal polyps treated under nasal endoscopy. Methods 240 patients with sinusitis and nasal polyps were enrolled in this study from July 2014 to 2015 September. with the consent of the patients and their families,the observation group of 120 cases patients were performed system nursing intervention,while the con-trol group of 120 cases were received routine nursing method. Preoperative anxiety,postoperative complications,postop-erative anxiety and overall patient satisfaction were recorded. Results The surgery complication rate of observation group (1.67%)was significantly lower than this of the control group (14.17%,χ2=9.0725,P=0.0026). Preoperative anxiety lev-el of the two groups had no significant difference(t=0.5953, P=0.5522),while postoperative anxiety of observed group was significant difference to the control group(t=6.3541, P=0.0000). The overall satisfaction of observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(t=21.2267, P=0.0000). Conclusion Systematic nursing intervention can better promote patients recovery and reduce the incidence of complications and increase patient satisfaction with the treat-ment. It brings good clinical significance and worth to popular-izing.
