Abstract:Objective To observe the clinical features and diagnosis of 3.0T MRI on otogenic hypertrophic pachy-meningitis.Methods15 cases of otogenic hypertrophic pachymeningitis from January of 2012 to December of 2015 in our hospital were retrospectively analyzed. The characteristics of clinical manifestations and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)was analysed.ResultsClinical manifestations were increased intracranial pressure, symptoms of petrous bone inflammation, otitis media and mastoiditis MRI mani-festations were tentorium thicking of lesion location showing a short T2,long T1 signal,as well as short signal of DWI and FLAIR sequence. If patients had edema occurred in the ipsilateral temperooccipital lobe, there was a long T2,long T1 signal, and high signal of DWI and FLAIR sequence, and the gilded ventricle showed an appearance of compres-sion.ConclusionOtogenic hypertrophic pachymeningitis is more complexed, with the clinical symptoms of tentorial dural thickening and headache. MRI is an important means to check it clinically, which can provide more complete diagnostic proof for clinicians.
