The research status of balloon dilation of eustachian tube
Abstract：Eustachian tube dysfunction is one of the common diseases in otology,The common symptoms associated with ETD are fullness of the ear,tinnitus,and vertigo. The symptoms can progress to more severe and chronic conditions of otitis media with effusion or other diseases. Clinical trentments are various with different curative effect,especially chronic eustachian tube dysfunction. As a new method for treatment of eustachian tube dysfunction, balloon dilation of eustachian tube has obtained some certain effects. In this paper,the anatomy,surgery,indication,efficacy evaluation standards of the balloon dilation of eustachian tube will be reviewed.
