Evaluation of the efficacy of nasal septal suture after correction of nasal septum

Abstract：Objective To compare the effect of nasal septum suture and nasal packing after nasal septum correction.Method From July 2013 to 2014 July,205 patients deviation of nasal septum underwent nasal septum correction. Patients before March 2014 had nasal packing after surgery. And patients after March 2014 underwent nasal suture after surgery. The suture group consisted of 95 cases, whilethe packing group 110 cases. The clinical symptoms, VAS score,postoperative complications were compared. Result Nasal pain,headache,VAS scores of tears, dysphagia,hemorrhage and sleep disorders of suture group was less significantly than that of packing group. Postoperative complications in suture group also showed a significant reduction.Conclusion After submucous resection of nasal septum,nasal septum mucosa suture can significantly reduce the patient pain and has better clinical effect.
