The change and development of the model of hearing and deafness gene screening of the newborn in Hubei region in China
Abstract：To review the change and development of the model of hearing and deafness gene screening of the newborn in Hubei region in China. In general,it can be divided into three stages:exploring and building of newborn hearing screening model;combination of gene and hearing screening in Newborn;development and research of the hearing diagnosis technology in Newborn. As the newborn hearing screening has been deepened and reformed,the screening technology and content become enriched and improved. The strategy to add the gene screening into the newborn hearing screening can be helpful to find out the late-onset hearing loss and the high risk subjects,which is significant to discover and diagnose the deafness early.
