Abstract:Objective To clarify the application of teaching methods in medical humanities courses in universities, explore the development and characteristics of teaching methods, and provide reference for the actual teaching of medical humanities course teachers. Methods The study retrieves literature on teaching methods for six courses in medical humanities in China, extracts specific teaching methods used in the courses, summarizes them according to the constructed classification system for teaching methods in medical humanities courses, and conducts a longitudinal analysis. We clarify the current development status of teaching methods for medical humanities courses abroad and compare them domestically and internationally. Results Overall, the six medical humanities courses have shown three major trends:from teachers'teaching to students'learning, from knowledge learning to practical application, and from disciplinary specialization to disciplinary integration.Their development direction has gradually become closer to that of foreign countries. Conclusion Teacher-centered teaching methods are gradually diversifying and systematizing.Students are more actively involved in the entire teaching process. The practical teaching experience of the course is becoming increasingly realistic. The connotation of collaborative education in curriculum teaching is gradually diversifying. In the later stage, the nature of each medical humanities course, specific teaching content, teaching environment, and teaching objects should be fully considered, and teaching methods should be scientifically and effectively applied.
