Abstract:Based on the aesthetic education goal of"fostering virtue through education"in the new era, this paper systematically explores somaesthetics in Huangdi Neijing(Huangdi's Canon of Medicine),including concepts such as"harmony between humanity and nature"and"integration of the form and the spirit".It elucidates the aesthetic connotation of the body in Huangdi Neijing from four dimensions:physical form, mental spirit,Qi transformation, and moral cultivation.Physical form embodies the unity of physiology and psychology;Mental spirit emphasizes the vitality of life where"those who possess spirit thrive";Qi transformation connects nature and the human body through the framework of"Qi-Yin and yang-Five elements";and moral cultivation achieves the dialectical unity of moral self-cultivation and physiological health via the notion that"internal preservation of vital Qi fosters righteousness."The study further examines the aesthetic characteristics of Huangdi Neijing, including its ecologically holistic view of harmony between humanity and nature, life aesthetics of harmony between mind and body, the aesthetic process integrating sensory experience and reflection, and a value-orientation that unifies morality and conduct. Finally,it explores the text's educational value in training TCM talents and contemporary aesthetic education from four perspectives:coexistence of man and nature,self-reconciliation,interpersonal harmony, and social coexistence.
