Abstract:Objective To analyze the current status of potential adverse drug interactions(ADIs)in prescriptions containing celecoxib and provide reference for clinical medication safety. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on all combined prescriptions containing celecoxib issued at the outpatient department of Xuancheng Central Hospital from January to December,2023.Data including patient age, gender, prescription department, and clinical diagnosis for prescriptions with potential ADIs were collected and analyzed.Relevant interacting drugs were identified, and the associated potential risks were assessed and classified by severity. Results A total of 505 patient prescriptions were included.Among these,347 prescriptions(68.71%,347/505)were found to have potential ADIs,accounting for 369 case-times.These prescriptions originated from Or-thopedics,Emergency,and Endocrinology departments. The drugs interacting with celecoxib involved 13 major categories and 27 types, predominantly consisting of traditional Chinese medicine,non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, and glucocorticoids.Among them, the risk severity for the combination of"celecoxib plus traditional Chinese medicines"was classified as"moderate".Conclusion The incidence of potential ADIs in outpatient prescriptions containing celecoxib is notably high.It is recommend-ed to strengthen prescription review and medication education, particularly targeting key prescribing departments and high-risk drug combinations.Furthermore, implementing an information-based pre-prescription review system to provide real-time alerts and interventions based on risk levels is crucial to ensure patient medication safety.
