Abstract:Objective To explore the effects of oxycodone combined with dexmedetomidine in patients undergo-ing radical lung cancer surgery. Methods A total of 120 patients who underwent radical lung cancer surgery at Fuzhou Pul-monary Hospital of Fujian between June 2018 and June 2024 were enrolled as the research objects and randomly divided into the oxycodone group(anesthesia with oxycodone combined with dexmedetomidine,n=60)and the propofol group(anesthesia with propofol combined with dexmedetomidine,n=60)according to random number table method. The immunosuppression(T lymphocyte subsets(CD4+,CD8+,CD4+/CD8+ratio)),pain degree(Numerical Rating Scale(NRS)scores at different time points after operation in resting and active states),short-term cognitive function(Mini-Mental State Examination(MMSE)scores)and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results After surgery, levels of CD4+and CD4+/CD8+ratios in the oxycodone group were(38.42±3.32)%and(1.14±0.13),higher than those in the propofol group((33.84±3.56)%,(0.96±0.15))(t=7.288,7.027,both P<0.05).The oxycodone group had a lower CD8+level((28.43±3.26)%)than the propofol group((32.54±3.57)%)(t=6.585,P<0.05).At 12,24 and 48 h after surgery,NRS scores at resting and active states in the oxyco-done group were lower than those in the propofol group(F=10.975,8.374,both P<0.05).At 6,24 and 48 h after surgery,MMSE scores in the oxycodone group were higher than those in the propofol group, with smaller fluctuations(F=3.501,P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions was 6.67%(4/60)in the oxycodone group and 20.00%(12/60)in the propofol group, with a sta-tistically significant difference(χ2=4.615,P<0.05).Conclusion Oxycodone combined with dexmedetomidine can alleviate im-munosuppression,reduce pain levels, and minimize fluctuations in short-term cognitive function in patients undergoing radical lung cancer surgery, with a favorable safety profile.
