Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of bismuth quadruple therapy containing minocycline on patients with initial treatment of Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori)infection.Methods A total of 300 patients who received initial treatment of H.pylori infection in Guizhou Aerospace Hospital between July 2024 and January 2025 were enrolled in the study and divided into the minocycline group with 100 cases, the clarithromycin group with 100 cases and the metronidazole group with 100 cases according to the treatment regimens. The minocycline group was given a bismuth quadruple therapy containing minocycline, the clarithromycin group was treated with a conventional bismuth quadruple therapy containing clarithromycin, and the metronidazole group underwent a conventional bismuth quadruple therapy containing metronidazole. The clinical curative effects and incidence of adverse reactions were compared among the three groups. Results After 14 days of treatment, the eradication rate of H.pylori and the total effective rate of clinical treatment were respectively 88.00%(88/100)and 96.00%(96/100)in the minocycline group, higher than 74.00%(74/100)and 81.00%(81/100)in the clarithromycin group and 73.00%(73/100)and 83.00%(83/100)in the metronidazole group, and there were statistically significant differences(χ2=8.288,11.481,both P<0.05).There were no statisti-cally significant differences in the eradication rate of H.pylori and the total effective rate of treatment between the clarithromycin group and the metronidazole group(P>0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions among the three groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Bismuth quadruple therapy containing minocycline has definite effect in the treat-ment of the patients with initial treatment of H.pylori infection, and increases the eradication rate of H.pylori, demonstrating a favorable safety profile.
