Abstract:Objective To investigate the preventive effect of calcium combined with low-dose aspirin on preeclampsia. Methods A total of 98 high-risk pregnant women with preeclampsia treated in Ningde Municipal Hospital of Ningde Normal Univer-sity from August 2023 to August 2024 were included and divided into the study group and the control group based on different treatment regimens, with 49 cases in each group. The control group received low-dose aspirin, while the study group received calcium supplements combined with low-dose aspirin. The incidence of preeclampsia, blood pressure,24-hour proteinuria quantification, lactate dehydro-genase,serum placental growth factor, coagulation function indexes, and maternal and neonatal outcomes were compared between the study group and the control group. Results The incidence of preeclampsia in the study group was 18.37%(9/49),lower than that in the control group(48.98%(24/49))(χ2=10.280,P<0.05).After treatment, the diastolic blood pressure, systolic blood pressure,24-hour pro-teinuria quantification and lactate dehydrogenase in the study group((71.11±5.67)mmHg(1 mmHg=0.133 kPa),(111.51±12.12)mmHg,(1.26±0.32)g,(231.31±32.92)U/L,respectively)were all lower than those in the control group((77.10±5.52)mmHg,(119.21±12.67)mmHg,(1.57±0.53)g,(268.47±31.73)U/L,respectively)(t=5.299,3.074,3.505,5.689,all P<0.05).After treatment, the serum placental growth factor level in the study group((58.72±9.25)μg/L)was higher than that in the control group(54.03±10.37)μg/L(t=2.363,P<0.05).After treatment, the prothrombin time and activated partial thromboplastin time in the study group((12.72±1.22)s,(30.73±2.51)s,respectively)were both higher than those in the control group((9.27±1.68)s,(24.37±3.28)s,respectively)(t=11.632,10.779,both P<0.05),while the fibrinogen level in the study group((3.12±1.32)g/L)was lower than that in the control group((4.86±1.41)g/L)(t=6.306,P<0.05).The incidence of low birth weight infants in the study group was 4.08%(3/49),lower than that in the control group(20.41%(10/49))(χ2=4.346,P<0.05).There were no statistically significant differences in other maternal and neonatal outcomes(χ2=1.779,2.217,0.000,0.102,all P>0.05).Conclusion Calcium supplementation combined with low-dose aspirin can effectively prevent the occurrence of preeclampsia in patients, reduce adverse maternal and neonatal outcomes, and exhibit a good safety profile.
