Efficacy of modified Sini powder combined with leuprorelin acetate in patients with adenomyosis

Abstract：Objective To explore the efficacy of modified Sini powder combined with leuprorelin acetate in patients with adenomyosis.Methods A total of 120 patients with adenomyosis who received targeted treatment in outpatient and inpa-tient settings at Cangzhou Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine,Hebei Province,from July 2022 to December 2024 were enrolled as study subjects.Using a random number table method,the 120 patients were divided into the experimental group and the control group,with 60 cases in each group.Both patient groups received standard treatment,with the experimental group additionally receiving modified Sini powder in combination with the control group.The clinical efficacy,vi-sual analogue scale(VAS)score for pain,pictorial blood loss assessment chart(PBAC),serum testosterone(T),estradiol(E2),fol-licle-stimulating hormone(FSH),luteinizing hormone(LH)levels,traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome score,uterine volume before and after treatment and adverse reactions of the two groups were compared.Calculate the incremental cost-benefit ratio and conduct a sensitivity analysis.Results The total effective rate of the experimental group was 88.33%(53/60),higher than that of the control group 76.67%(46/60)(χ2=4.183,P<0.05).After treatment,the levels of T,FSH and LH in the experimental group((55.39±7.16)nmol/L,(3.56±1.22)IU/L,(4.77±1.19)IU/L)were lower than those in the control group((72.05±6.64)nmol/L,(5.49±1.27)IU/L,(5.54±1.15)IU/L).After treatment,the level of E2 in the experimental group((243.48±49.63)ng/L)was higher than that in the control group((219.63±45.27)ng/L)(t=13.216,8.486,3.566,2.750,all P<0.05).The experimental group had lower scores for TCM syndrome symptoms and uterine volume((25.97±3.56)points,(157.62±7.23)cm3)than the control group((33.75±3.74)points,(166.75±6.89)cm3)(t=11.683,7.084,both P<0.001).The incidence of adverse reactions in the experimental group(8.33%(5/60))was lower than 23.33%(14/60)in the control group(χ2=5.065,P<0.05).In terms of pharmacoeconomics,the cost fluctuations of TCM change proportionally with the incremental cost-benefit ratio,and the differences in clinical effective rates were negatively correlated with the incremental cost-benefit ratio.Conclusion The combined therapy of modified Sini powder with leuprorelin acetate demonstrates efficacy in reducing uterine volume and endometrial thickness in pa-tients with adenomyosis,alleviating TCM syndrome symptoms,regulating sex hormone levels,improving internal homeostasis,enhancing pregnancy rates,and maintaining cost-effectiveness.
