Clinical evaluation of Compound Xueshuantong combined with fenofibrate on treatment of patients with diabetic kidney disease

Abstract：Objective To explore the effect of Compound Xueshuantong capsules combined with fenofibrate on treatment of patients with diabetic kidney disease(DKD)and observe the influence on renal function and lipid metabolism.Methods A total of 98 DKD patients treated in the First People's Hospital of Shangqiu from January 2022 to January 2023 were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group,with 49 cases in each group.The control group was treated with conventional intervention plus fenofibrate,and the observation group was given additional Compound Xueshuantong capsules on the basis of the therapy of the control group.The clinical efficacy,renal function indexes,lipid metabolism indexes and adverse reactions were observed and compared between the two groups.Results The clinical efficacy of the observation group was 95.92%(47/49),higher than 79.59%(39/49)of the control group(χ2=4.653,P=0.031).The levels of serum creatinine((71.96±7.24)μmol/L,(85.23±8.67)μmol/L)and blood urea nitrogen((5.78±0.72)mmol/L,(6.64±0.88)mmol/L)of the observation group and the control group were lower after the treatment for 12 weeks than those before the treatment((97.52±)9.63)μmol/L,(95.29±9.94)μmol/L,(10.78±1.05)mmol/L,(10.66±1.10)mmol/L),and the levels of the above indicators of the observation group were lower than those of the control group(serum creatinine:t=8.224,P<0.05;urea nitrogen:t=5.295,P<0.05).The high-density lipoprotein of the observation group and the control group((1.28±0.13)mmol/L,(1.06±0.15)mmol/L)was higher after the treatment for 12 weeks than those before the treatment((0.87±0.21)mmol/L,(0.89±0.20)mmol/L).The low-density lipoprotein((2.02±0.66)mmol/L,(2.65±0.81)mmol/L),total cholesterol((3.89±0.94)mmol/L,(4.77±1.08)mmol/L),triglycerides((1.30±0.41)mmol/L,(1.88±0.54)mmol/L)were lower after the treatment for 12 weeks than those before the treatment((3.05±1.01)mmol/L,(3.03±0.97)mmol/L,(6.24±1.46)mmol/L,(6.31±1.39)mmol/L,(2.63±0.80)mmol/L,(2.67±0.77)mmol/L).The high-density lipoprotein level of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,while the levels of low-density lipoprotein,total cholesterol and triglycerides were lower in the observation group than those in the control group(high-density lipoprotein:t=7.758,P<0.05;low-density lipoprotein:t=4.221,P<0.05;total cholesterol:t=4.302,P<0.05;triglycerides:t=5.988,P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reaction was 8.16%in the observation group and 12.24%in the control group,and there was no significant difference between the two groups(χ2=0.111,P=0.739).Conclusion The combination of Compound Xueshuantong capsules and fenofibrate can effectively improve the clinical therapeutic effect on the DKD patients and enhance their renal function and lipid metabolism.
